It took less than five years for the ‘BMW Welt’ (which is German for ‘BMW World’) exhibition facility located in Munich, Germany, to celebrate a major milestone in its short history: the tenth millionth visitor since it opened its doors to the public in October of 2007. The guest that made the milestone was Patrick Zanker, who was not only accepted by Thomas Muderlak, head of the BMW Welt and BMW brand ambassador, His Royal Highness the Prince of Bavaria, but was also presented with a Z4 hardtop roadster that he will be able to enjoy for the next 10 weeks. “Ten million enthusiastic BMW fans in just under five years certainly confirms that our varied programme and our building’s fascinating architecture make the BMW Welt a place for extraordinary experiences,” commented Muderlak.

“Over the coming years, we will continue to do everything in our power to offer a one-of-a-kind brand experience for young and old alike.” Last year, the BMW Welt had a record number of 2.3 million visitors from around the world. According to BMW, since its opening in late 2007, the majority of visitors come from Germany (59 percent) while the largest number of international guests comes from the U.S.
