VW has taken the wraps off a special edition of the Scirocco at the Auto Mobil International show in Leipzig, Germany. The Scirocco GTS is a tribute to the original GTS which first rolled off the line 30 years ago.
Black and red stripes running along the boot, roof and bonnet evoke memories of racing cars from the Seventies and Eighties, while the bodykit features unique front and rear bumpers and chunkier side sills. Red wing mirrors, 18-inch ‘Thunder’ alloy wheels, a rear diffuser and a roof-spoiler taken from the Scirocco R add some extra aggression to the coupe’s design, and a GTS badge is added to the flanks.
