Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche has proposed an idea to Renault to co-develop premium cars. Mercedes-Benz and Renault-Nissan already has an alliance in place for component and engine development, but the offer could see the two developing complete models. The news of the offer was reported in a German newspaper Boersen-Zeitung, which quoted Jerome Stoll, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Renault, as saying about the offer, “Dieter Zetsche spoke to our leadership.
